Another Breckenridge Saturday

September has some of the best weather and conditions for high country riding in Colorado with little chance of thunder storms and 70 degree days.  The weather this month has been just that so I have spent the past three Saturday's riding around Breckenridge.

Yesterday did another variation off West Ridge using a newly built trail Galena Ditch, making for a three loop  lariat with only repeating Blair Witch and the lower section of the Colorado Trail.  The route was CT > Soda Creek > Soda Ridge > Aqueduct > Blair Witch > CT > Dredge Boat > Galena Ditch > Tiger Road > North Fork of the Swan  > CT (West Ridge) > Blair Witch > CT (37 miles 4,600 feet of gain).

Starting out up the Colorado trail from Tiger Run.

Dropping into Soda Creek

Looking up towards A-Basin

Aqueduct

New trail....Galena Ditch...providing a nice connector up to West Ridge minimizing Tiger Run road.

Stuff.....

West Ridge decent...

Blair Witch

Home stretch....

A day heavy on really nice single track.
