BFR IV

Yesterday I did a local group ride up in Lyons, Colorado put on by Dave a shop owner in town up there.

Really great route on trails that I would have probably never have been on had I not gone on this ride. Hopefully I can make it again next year; it was a demanding and long day with 14 in the group. The group was strong, but we did take a lot of breaks making for a 9 hour day and 48 miles.

Refining the Buffalo Creek Big Route

Went back out to Buffalo Creek yesterday to refine the big loop route and add some more. Think I have a good route down now that flows nice and can add or subtract depending on how you feel that particular day. This one is 52 miles with 6,500 feet of gain.

Buffalo Creek

Pretty awesome day today....with rain yesterday (and snow up high) the conditions out at Buffalo Creek were perfect. Nice and tackey and really fast conditions made for a good day to go long. This was my biggest day out there yet; starting to figure out some nice ways to add more with little repeat of trails. Ended up with 44 miles & 5,600 feet climbed.

First snow of the fall....

Weather was perfect today....these trails are so fun.

Todays Ride

Didn't take any pictures today...weather was cold and is now raining, but still managed to get a good ride in (25.71 miles & 3,688 feet of climbing). Pretty standard route we have been riding from the house lately, thanks to some new trail on North Table Mountain.

New to This....

Decided to make the move and start one of these (I am sure my wife will make fun of me for it), but most content will focus on mountain biking and the lifestyle surrounding a great sport.

2009 has been the biggest year yet for me on the bike; a mild winter combined with better fitness has resulted on about 150 days and over 2,000 miles on the bike so far this year. Some pictures of the year so far with more real time updates to follow going forward.

Some green riding in Golden this year.

Some riding up high in Breckenridge....riding is so good up there. Starting to really learn the trail system; about 275 miles so far in 2009 in Breckenridge. Hoping to get some more in before the snow falls.
