Vail, CO (Day 4)

Our 11 year anniversary was spent in the back bowls of Vail.  We headed out from the village up to the top of the Gondola via the Lion Down trail which is primarily a service road.  Don't let the road deceive you it is a tough climb up there.  From the Gondola we took the Grand Traverse to the Two Elk Connector and down Two Elk to Minturn.  All in it was a 32 mile ride with 4,300 feet of climbing.
