The Colorado norm....

What tends to be the normal in Colorado is a pretty nice way to live.  Last week we had some friends in town for a trip to Rocky Mountain.  Really good to catch up and great reason to go up to the park again.  Prior to that Sarah and I made it out to Buffalo Creek for a nice 32 mile day.  Mushrooms are everywhere right now....pretty cool.

This weekend it was back on the bike with some refining of the Breckenridge Loop I have been working on.  Many different options just trying to figure out the best way to link things together takes some time.  Each year I continue to learn more about the amazing network of trail in Summit County....I think it is the most underrated riding in the state.

Overall great week on the bike looking forward to the next two weeks (Steamboat and Crested Butte), but not looking forward to the end of summer.

Another Great Weekend

Riding season is prime right now and had another fine weekend doing just that.  Yesterday went back up to Breckenridge; the more I explore there, the more I like it....Breck is awesome, could be the most underrated riding in the state and only an 1:15 away.

Did some more exploring in the Gold Run area and it did not disappoint...

Today did a ride from the house up Chimney > Apex > Dakota > Zorro > Green Mountain and back (32 miles 5,000 feet of gain).  Even some pics of me...Sarah actually took the camera today.

Night Ride

Went out to Buffalo Creek on Thursday with the T.I.T.S crew....good time start with some daylight and ride into the night.

Finishing July

Wow summer is going fast as it always seems to for us; we have been busy as usual and with the only two races I am doing this year done it is just time to ride a lot and enjoy the prime season for the high country.

After last post we went to a wedding in Portland Maine which was a great time with a lot of drinking involved; we did however rent some road bikes and went for a ride along the coast.

The 5 days off from riding was good (little longer than I would have like), but since then I have been getting after it again.  Got some good rides in the past two weeks.

Last weekend we went out to Buffalo Creek and then Indian Creek the following day.

Really like this ride....there is a good variety on it plus some of the lusher forest on the Front Range.  To bad Denver Water has to shut down Waterton Canyon for the next two years to remove sediment from the reservoir.

Rounding out the big rides was a 55 mile effort with 6,000 feet of climbing yesterday up in Breckenridge.  I really love the riding up there and continue to ride new trail, as well as starting to figure out some more of the underground network that exists up there.  Really nice having this only an hour and fifteen minutes from Golden.
